As February comes to a close, Manitowoc Lincoln High School is highlighting the achievements of its students.
February is recognized as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month and aims to ensure students are positioned for career success.
Lincoln High School ranked first last school year in Manitowoc County and the region with 48.9% of eligible students who have successfully completed one or more dual enrollment college credit courses, while the state average sits at approximately 25%.
Last school year, 316 Lincoln students, or 43% of all LHS juniors and seniors, participated in a youth apprenticeship or other work-based learning programs.
They worked over 100,000 hours, making more than $1.6 million while 417 students earned industry-recognized certifications.
These included Certified Nursing Assistant, OSHA, Assistant Child Care Teacher, and many more.
Other students at Lincoln earned an impressive 948 free college credits at Lakeshore College during the 2023-24 school year, up more than 600 credits from 2020.
