The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee Public Schools have been granted an extension until March 17th to hire and train school resource officers (SROs).
This follows a deadline set by Circuit Court Judge David Borowski, who ruled that more time was needed for proper training.
The city now faces a daily fine of $1,000 until they submit a list of officers and assigned schools.
The judge has postponed the fine order until the March 17th hearing.
