Multiple residents reported receiving phone calls from someone pretending to be their grandchild, claiming they were in jail and needed financial assistance.
Scammers are using advanced technology, including artificial intelligence, to mimic the voices of the victims’ grandchildren.
Police advise anyone receiving these calls to hang up immediately and report the incident.
