A school district in Sheboygan County has received national recognition for its premier athletic facilities.
The Plymouth Joint School District has been named one of the Pioneer Athletics Fields of Excellence winners.
Plymouth has received the distinction specifically for the quality of its baseball, softball, and soccer facilities, all of which were named in the top 79 high school sports fields in the country.
The Fields of Excellence Award aims to celebrate and highlight the hard work and dedication of all individuals involved in keeping athletic facilities looking the best they can.
Additionally, Pioneer Athletics offers scholarships to a select few schools in the nation that are a cut above the rest when it comes to their athletic facilities.
The Plymouth Joint School District was one of just two schools in the entire U.S. to receive a scholarship this year, putting them amongst the nation’s best when it comes to the quality and presentation of its athletic facilities.
