Yardstick Books in Algoma is hosting Laura Ann Bird to celebrate the release of her new book. “Marvelous Jackson” is the story of thirteen-year-old Jack Wilson.
Since losing his mom, Wilson has spent most of his time seeing just how much trouble he can get away with so that he feels like a winner at something.
But he takes his mischief too far and is faced with the possibility of unbearable consequences, like being sent away to boarding school in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
So, he decides to try his hand at the world-famous Marvelous Midwest Kids Baking Championship.
The celebration is scheduled for March 16, from 1:00 until 2:30 pm at Yardstick Books.
