In the last game of the regular season, the Manitowoc Lincoln girls basketball team took on De Pere at home on senior night.
In their last game before postseason play, the Ships battled hard but fell to the Red Birds 51-64.
Lincoln came out of the gates hot in the first half and was able to hold the lead for the majority of the half.
However, some foul trouble forced star guard Sarah Bolchen to the bench, and De Pere took their chance.
A big run for the Red Birds to end the half saw the shipbuilders trail 2031 at halftime.
The ships knocked down five triples in the second period, includingtwo each from Bolchen and Kendall Schmitz, and cut the deficit to 6 with 3 minutes left in the game but couldn’t get it across the line.
Bolchen finished with 18, Schmitz with 14.
The Ships end the regular season with a record of 14-10 and will face these very same Red Birds in the first round of the WIAA playoffs next week.
