A Green Bay man has been convicted for a 2022 murder.
Gustavo Cantu, who was facing one charge of Felony Murder, was found guilty at a jury trial on Tuesday (February 18th).
Cantu was originally facing a charge of being a party to First-Degree Intentional Homicide but was found guilty of the lesser charge.
Cantu was charged with his brother, Alejandro Cantu, and the two were scheduled to stand trial together.
However, after Alejandro pleaded no contest, the cases were severed from one another.
Both Gustavo and Alejandro received their charges in connection to the shooting death of Randall Denny in Green Bay in April 2022.
Denny’s murder occurred at the intersection of Perkins and Western Avenues and appeared to be tied to a drug deal.
After the brothers were both found guilty of the same Felony Murder charge, Alejandro will return for his sentencing hearing on March 31st, while Gustavo will be sentenced on April 22nd.
