Several Wisconsin-based religious organizations are filing a lawsuit challenging President Trump’s immigration enforcement policy.
The Wisconsin Council of Churches and Milwaukee’s Wisdom Inc. have joined the legal action, which seeks to block an order that permits immigration authorities to arrest non-citizens in places like schools and churches.
The lawsuit argues that such enforcement has led to declines in church attendance and social services participation as people fear being detained or deported.
