The Fond du Lac School District has named its next superintendent.
Matt Steinbarth takes over as the next superintendent of schools on July 1st.
The district calls Steinbarth a dedicated leader with more than 25 years of service within the district.
Board President Todd Schreiter says the board voted 7-0, which is a testament to the faith we have in their new head of the school district.
Steinbarth served as the Fond du Lac School District’s Chief Academic Officer and was also the Chief of Schools.
He previously served as a principal at Lakeshore Elementary School and was an assistant principal at Woodworth Middle School.
Steinbarth said he is truly honored to have been chosen for the opportunity as the next superintendent.
He continues saying, “As a lifelong resident, I do not take the responsibility lightly. I am committed to working with passion, purpose, and unwavering persistence to elevate every student’s experience.”
He takes over for retiring Superintendent Jeff Fleig after he faced scrutiny from residents regarding his conduct with staff.
