The Village of North Fond du Lac has submitted an application to improve its public drinking water system.
The application, if approved, would give the village funding through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program to construct an additional well.
With all funding coming from the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program, projects must undergo an environmental review through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The program has determined that the construction of the well will not result in any adverse environmental effects.
However, the DNR is now seeking public comment on this decision from area residents.
Based on the comments received, the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program may prepare an analysis before proceeding with the funding.
