A Green Bay man is facing an OWI charge after an incident on Interstate 43 in Manitowoc County.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office tells Seehafernews.com that a vehicle driven by the 19-year-old man was seen going southbound in the northbound lane.
Sheriff Dan Hartwig explained that deputies tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver didn’t stop.
The pursuit ended at Rockwood Road near Francis Creek just after 11:00 pm Saturday evening (February 8th) after a PIT maneuver was used.
The man was arrested on a charge of OWI after the vehicle ended up in a ditch.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office says they got the call from Brown County about the man before they stopped him.
Deputies stayed on the scene for about an hour and a half at northbound I-43.
It’s not known if traffic was directly affected by the stop.
