
A man in Fond du Lac was arrested after fleeing from police on foot over the weekend.
Yesterday (February 9th) just after 11:30 p.m., officers with the Fond du Lac Police Department observed a male suspect known to have warrants out for his arrest in the area of North Peters Avenue and West Scott Street.
The suspect, a 29-year-old man from Fond du Lac, was seen entering the front passenger seat of a vehicle.
Additional officers responded to the area to assist as the 29-year-old was connected to several crimes.
A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle which pulled into the parking lot of the Lakeside Garden Apartments.
The suspect then exited the passenger seat and fled from police on foot.
Following a brief foot pursuit, the man was apprehended and treated for injuries after a TASER was used to subdue him.
He is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on new charges of Resisting Arrest Causing Injury to a Law Enforcement Officer.
This new offense has been added to charges of Disorderly Conduct, Theft, Battery, and Burglary from an incident earlier this month.
He also had felony warrants for False Imprisonment and Burglary in addition to six misdemeanors in various counties.
The Fond du Lac Police Department was assisted by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and Fond du Lac Fire Rescue.
