The American Association of Community Colleges has recognized another professor at Lakeshore College.
Mark Lorier, a computer numerically controlled machine tooling instructor, was honored with the 2025 Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty. Lorier joined Lakeshore College in 2012.
He is a Wisconsin Technical College System graduate with multiple national certifications.
Lorier established the Lakeshore’s Machining Club and serves on the college’s Curriculum and Assessment, Competency-Based Education, and Co-Curricular Activities committee.
Lorier is one of seven other faculty members to be recognized since 2018.
Lakeshore President Dr. Paul Carlsen says, “As a quiet leader, Mark significantly impacts our students, faculty, and college. Manufacturing is the largest industry sector in our district, and the programs he teaches are critical to the local employers who seek our graduates.”
