
There will be a Spring Primary Election for some races in Manitowoc County.
County Clerk Jessica Backus put out a notice last week for the primary to take place on February 18th.
On the ballot at the state level there is a race for state superintendent between Incumbent Jill Underly and Challengers Jeff Wright and Brittnay Kinser.
At the local level there will be a primary in the City of Manitowoc’s 1st Aldermanic District. Incumbent Brett Vanderkin is running against challengers Andrew Dunbar and Ray Geigel.
The Manitowoc Public School District has seven candidates running for school board.
The number will be down to six at the end of the primary election.
There are also races in the Town of Cooperstown, Town of Gibson, and Town of Manitowoc Rapids. If you want to know what’s on your ballot, go to myvote.wi.gov.
