The Town of Beloit Police Department is looking into an attempted vehicle theft that occurred Saturday.
Authorities say someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the area of Jackson and Masters Streets, tampered with the steering wheel, and tried to start the car by jamming an object into the ignition.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the police department.
