A woman is facing charges after allegedly supplying fentanyl that led to a person’s death.
Manitowoc Police were called in October last year to a home for someone who was believed to be dead. Police say they found drug paraphernalia near the person, which later tested positive for fentanyl.
Detectives talked to numerous people, including the 911 caller, a confidential informant, and another woman in an unrelated case.
All three said the exact name of the suspect they believed gave fentanyl to the victim. When police talked to the woman, she said she had seen the victim a few days prior before the incident but denied supplying the fentanyl that killed the person.
Manitowoc Police say they got a search warrant for the suspect’s cell phone and found numerous text messages from the victim and suspect talking about getting some “down,” which is a code word for drugs.
The suspect later admitted to supplying the fentanyl after and said, “I can’t believe I did this to the victim.”
She is facing charges including delivering fentanyl and two counts of felony bail jumping. She also has two open drug cases against her.
