
A newly elected state representative from the Sheboygan area has introduced a package to help out Wisconsin families.
26th District Assemblyman Joe Sheehan of Sheboygan has announced the introduction of the Lowering Costs, Improving Lives Package.
This package is a three-bill package aiming to reduce the tax burden for low-income renters and homeowners via an expansion of the Homestead Tax Credit.
It will also cut grocery bills through the enacting of Healthy School Meals for All.
The final function of the package is to lower prescription drug prices by way of the Less for Rx agenda.
After introducing the package, Rep. Sheehan, who has spent most of his adult life in the world of education, said, “I am particularly proud to introduce Healthy School Meals for All to help working families in every community save on their grocery bills No student in Wisconsin should ever have to wonder if they will have access to a healthy, filling meal to eat while at school.”
