Democratic lawmakers in Wisconsin are putting forward a series of bills aimed at lowering the cost of living for state residents.
The proposed legislation includes initiatives the party has previously supported, such as providing free school meals and lowering prescription drug costs.
One key proposal would expand the Homestead Credit Program, offering tax relief to more low-income homeowners and renters by extending eligibility to individuals earning up to $35,000 annually.
However, given the Republican-controlled state Assembly and Senate, these measures are unlikely to gain significant support.
