A recent recall of sausage products may be affecting Wisconsin residents.
Meyer Wholesale out of Michigan has recalled approximately 400 pounds of ready-to-eat and raw sausage products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen.
Ready-to-eat pork and beef Polish sausage and raw pork and beef potato sausage produced between October 30th and January 7th have been recalled for containing soy, a known allergen, which is not declared on the labels.
It has been confirmed that the recalled products were shipped to retailers in Wisconsin and Michigan.
The problem was discovered during a routine plant verification conducted by the U.S. Food and Safety Inspection Services.
Anyone who purchased the sausage products is urged to check freezers and throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.
