The popping of champagne and the sound of a New Year, but also for a new change for Impact Wellness and Spa Owner Becky Goessl and Leslie Schweitzer from Lush Aesthetic Bar.
Their new business together will be called Real Aesthetic and Wellness and, for now, will be on 8th Street in downtown Manitowoc.
Schweitzer says she and Goessl wanted to bring the businesses together because starting one can be challenging, and they already worked well together.
Schweitzer explained, “Since we became friends early on, in building our businesses, we were constantly leaning on each other. And it was like, let’s just keep doing this, let’s keep leaning on each other.”
Real Aesthetics will offer wellness services that aren’t found normally around the lakeshore.
One wellness service clients can get is a stop in their infrared sauna or laser resurfacing.
Goessl says the businesses complement each other, even though some of it can be medical.
But it’s still supposed to feel real when clients walk in.
“It’s not uncommon to come in and somebody’s not wearing makeup,” she said. “Or there’s a child running around because we are both moms of smaller children. And just that we’re real people. We don’t want anyone to feel like they don’t fit into our space.”
Although the ribbon cutting was through the Chamber Manitowoc, they will have a grand reopening on Saturday, January 18th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 p.m.
“We will have some of our reps here, some of our skin reps,” she explained. “There will be food, snacks, drinks, lots of education. We are planning a little scavenger hunt type trivia thing so that people can really learn about everything that we have to offer.”
Real Aesthetics & Wellness is open almost every day from 8:00 am to 6:00 p.m. during the weekdays but they open at 11:00 a.m. on the weekends.
