
Fire and Rescue calls continue to go up for the Kiel Fire Department.
The department reports that in 2024, they had a record-high number of 861 calls for service, including 172 for fire and 689 for EMS.
That is 78 more total calls than last year when the number was 783.
The number of EMS and fire calls were also up compared to last year.
During their record number of calls, they also had 204 fire inspections completed and 653 fire prevention and education attendees.
Kiel Fire and Rescue also explained that while their call volume continues to grow, they will continue to meet the needs of our growing community by providing exceptional services.
