One man is in custody after a disturbance led to gunshots being fired in a home in Oshkosh.
The Oshkosh Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Oregon Street Saturday (January 4th) morning for what was initially described as an “active situation.”
Residents were also asked to avoid the area until the situation was resolved.
Upon arrival, officers were able to make contact with those involved and learned that during the disturbance, a 23-year-old Oshkosh man fired a gun inside the residence.
However, no one was injured.
Once contact was made, authorities were able to take the 23-year-old into custody without incident.
He was subsequently taken to the Winnebago County Jail, where he is currently facing multiple criminal charges for the incident.
