
The Sheboygan Police Department has announced the retirement of an officer following over two decades of service.
The Department is honoring Piotr Gordziej who has announced his retirement after 25 years on the force.
Gordziej joined the department on October 8th, 1999, as a third-shift officer. In his time with the department, he was assigned to the Emergency Response Team and Street Crimes Unit as a Training Officer and also helped in developing the City’s Landlord Training Program, where he served as an instructor.
Around Sheboygan, he was known for his strong work ethic, his ability to diffuse tense situations, and his connection with residents.
However, the department has said he will be most remembered for being a great teammate.
In the announcement, the Sheboygan Police Department said they are grateful for Gordziej’s positive impact on the police force and the community and wished him a happy and healthy retirement.
