The former Ripon Fire District fire chief was fined for using the district’s credit card for personal use.
According to court records, Timothy Saul pleaded guilty Monday (December 23rd) to three misdemeanor counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.
He will now have to pay $3,000 in fines for using the card within 60 days of sentencing.
Fox 11 reports that Saul apologized and regretted the actions that brought him to court.
He faced numerous counts after a criminal complaint that Saul used the fire department’s credit card for bills, baseball games, and hotel visits.
The balance on the card at one point was $36,000.
