Four area fire departments responded to a house fire in Manitowoc last night.
The Manitowoc Fire Department was called to the 3700 block of Straight Street just after 7:30.
The 911 caller reported smoke and flames coming from the home, and fire crews arrived on the scene within four minutes.
The home was said to be fully engulfed in flames by the time they arrived, and within seven minutes, the main fire was extinguished.
While the cause of the fire is still unknown, the initial investigation indicates it began on the exterior of the building.
No injuries were reported, and the damage estimate is not yet known.
The Manitowoc Fire Rescue Department was assisted by the Two Rivers Fire Department, Branch Fire Department, Silver Creek Fire Department, Manitowoc Police Department, Manitowoc Public Utilities, and the Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center.
