
A Police Captain in Kiel was recognized this week ahead of his retirement.
Kiel Police Department Captain James Blanke was honored on Tuesday (December 10th) at the city’s Common Council meeting.
Captain Blanke has announced he will retire at the end of the year. At the meeting, he was presented with a plaque in honor of his years of service to the Kiel Community and the Department.
Also at the meeting, Officer Jeremy Kamp, who was selected as Captain Blanke’s successor, recited his oath of office for his new position.
Officer Kamp had his Captain badge pinned on by his father.
The Common Council and those in attendance congratulated Captain Blanke on his retirement and now Captain Kamp on his promotion.
