As has been the case over the past four Decembers, Eastern Wisconsin is once again seeing a drop in gas prices heading into the holiday season.
According to the AAA Gas Prices website, Manitowoc County’s average price per gallon of fuel is down four cents from last week, now sitting at $2.70.
Since SeehaferNews.com began keeping track of local gas prices in mid-2021, a significant drop at the pump has come around this time of year, and prices would then jump back up in January.
Sheboygan County is reporting a three cent drop this week to $2.73, while Calumet County’s average is down a penny to $2.75.
Outagamie County motorists are paying three cents less per gallon at the pump with an average of $2.74, while Brown County’s average is down two cents to $2.69, and Kewaunee County fuel is six cents less than last week with an average of $2.74.
Door County reported the biggest drop off this week, dipping eleven cents to $2.79.
The state average also fell four cents to $2.73 while the national average remains above the $3.00 barrier, with a dip of one cent to $3.02 this week.
