
A Manitowoc woman has been sentenced for her role in a drug bust.
49-year-old Jennifer C. Norrell was found guilty due to a no contest plea on a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine and was ordered by Judge Jerylin Dietz to spend seven months in the Manitowoc County Jail under the Huber Law.
She was given credit for 111 days served.
Norrell was arrested alongside Matthew K. Vertz in May of 2023 following a search of Vertz’s residence in the 800 block of South 13th Street.
Vertz’s case remains open as he faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and Felony Bail Jumping with a status conference scheduled for December 10th.
Since that arrest, he has been arrested four more times and is facing a total of sixteen counts of Felony Bail Jumping, three counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and a single count of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.
