A Manitowoc man is facing charges after it was discovered he was housing juvenile runaways, supplying them with alcohol and drugs, and sexually assaulting them.
The investigation into the 23-year-old man began on November 8th, when a Manitowoc Police Detective received information about a juvenile runaway that was on their way to the home of an adult male.
The child told police that the man had had sexual contact with them on five separate occasions.
Through the month-long investigation, it was learned that the suspect and several other adult males were providing youth runaways with alcohol and drugs such as marijuana and cocaine while also engaging in sexual activity with them.
The detective interviewed one of the victims on November 26th, with her recalling an incident where she was given two bottles of rum and cocaine before having sex with the man.
She also detailed an incident where the man was physically violent in the encounter, throwing her to the ground and forcing her to have sex.
The man has since been taken into custody on charges of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and Engaging in Repeated Acts of Sexual Assault Against the Same Child.
