
A residence in Two Rivers caught fire this morning.
Captain Patrick Kraijnik of the Two Rivers Fire Department reports that crews were dispatched to the 2600 block of Monroe Street just before 9:00 a.m. on a report of smoke and flames coming from a residence.
Engine 10 was first on the scene, saw smoke coming from the front of the building, and noted that all occupants had evacuated.
The fire was contained in the basement of the home and was quickly extinguished.
There were no injuries reported, and the fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
