While a vast majority of people were well-behaved at the 36th Annual Lakeshore Holiday Parade, one man was arrested.
A woman watching the parade spoke with an officer just after 8:00 p.m., complaining about a man who was following a girl’s dance group and recording them.
The man told the officers that he was filming his child, which the officers admitted was not an illegal activity.
However, they knew the man from previous contacts and noticed he smelled of alcohol.
When asked if he had been drinking, the man became defensive, leading to the officers checking on the probation status of the 30-year-old man.
The man then decided to run, but was tackled shortly after by an unknown parade spectator.
The man was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail, where he allegedly was not cooperative with the officers conducting the booking process.
He was placed on a probation hold and was charged with one count of Resisting an Officer.
