The family of missing 7-year-old Jacob Bear and the Two Rivers Police Department has reported a sad end to the search.
While Jacob was found, he did not survive.
No details surrounding his death have been released, and the family is thanking everyone who helped with the search last night in Two Rivers.
They are also asking the public to avoid speculation and the spreading of rumors.
Two Rivers Police Captain Andrew Raatz said in a news release “This tragic event is a reminder of how dangerous the ice can be on our waterways, especially this time of year when it is very thin. Please stay off the ice and keep your children safe by monitoring them closely.”
