The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office reports that a wrong-way driver, suspected of being drunk, nearly collided with Vice President Kamala Harris’s motorcade on Monday night.
The incident occurred on I-94 between the Marquette Interchange and 16th Street.
According to deputies, the driver was traveling westbound on the eastbound lanes of the interstate and swerved to the inside shoulder to avoid the motorcade.
The event was caught on traffic cameras, and authorities later arrested a 55-year-old man for suspected drunk driving after the motorcade had passed.
