A 42-year-old man was arrested for OWI following a crash in Manitowoc over the weekend.
An officer was dispatched to the area of Michigan Avenue and River Bluff Drive for a traffic complaint just after 7:00 Sunday evening (September 8th).
They ended up finding the suspect car involved in a single-vehicle crash with a child in the vehicle.
The driver admitted to being behind the wheel and was having trouble standing up.
The officers noticed a strong smell of intoxicants as well and asked if he had been drinking.
The man admitted to having “four or six” drinks and agreed to take a field sobriety test, which he failed.
He was taken to a local hospital for an evidentiary blood draw and was arrested on his 3rd OWI, each with a minor under 16 in the car.
