The Manitowoc Public School District wants to let the community learn about their budgeting process.
An announcement on the district’s Facebook page says they will hold Community Information Sessions next week on Tuesday, August 13th, and Tuesday, August 27th, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm for anyone interested in learning about how the district is funded.
The first session deals with understanding the Revenue Limit, State Aid and the Tax Levy, and Equalized Value.
The second session will help residents understand funds and major expenses and learn about the MPSD’s strategic plan.
The Manitowoc School District sessions intend to offer a short presentation, interactive modeling for different scenarios, and allow for questions to be asked.
MPSD board members, staff, and others will be at the presentation to answer questions as well.
