A new building is coming to the campus of UW-Green Bay. It’s part of $262 million in improvements recently approved by the Wisconsin State Building Commission after meeting at the Wisconsin State Fair.
The new five-story Cofrin Technology and Education Center on the UWGB campus will house the library, campus administration, and the departments of Student Success and First Nations Education.
The new building will feature sustainable elements like a green roof, solar panels, and natural landscaping.
Six other Wisconsin public universities will get funding for improvements on buildings on their campuses.
Other projects from the commission’s approval will go toward improving the Lincoln Hills School for safety for staff and youth while continuing to making it into an adult facility.
Money will also go toward getting improvements for the Wisconsin DNR, Milwaukee Mile Speedway, and the Wisconsin State Fair Park.
