Eau Claire was a hub of political activity yesterday as candidates made their pitches to voters.
Both Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance and Vice President Kamala Harris, along with her running mate, visited the city, holding rallies nearly simultaneously.
Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who is her running mate, focused on familiar issues such as abortion, gun control, and criticism of Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, Vance’s speech targeted Walz’s record as Minnesota’s governor and labeled the Democratic ticket as the most radical in history.
The simultaneous visits underscore the importance of Wisconsin in the upcoming November election.
