Milwaukee Police Rescue Woman, Child — Find Dead Man After Stand-Off

Milwaukee Police say they found a dead man inside a house Saturday afternoon after a kidnapping, a shooting and a stand-off which lasted several hours.  The dead man, Persey Morgan, had refused to come out of the house.  His body was found after police had rescued a woman who had been beaten and a child who was with her.  The woman, the child, and another man had been kidnapped Friday in an ordeal lasting almost 36 hours.  The man was shot, but he survived.  Two of the kidnappers were taken into custody several hours before Morgan’s body was found at about 3:30 P-M.
