The woman charged with shooting an Oconto Falls police officer with her own weapon has been sentenced.
31-year-old Alisha Kocken was ordered by Judge Michael Judge to spend 16 years in prison, followed by 12 years on parole for shooting Officer Nicole Blaskowski in 2021.
As we reported at the time, Kocken had gotten into a scuffle with Officer Blaskowski and was able to get ahold of the officer’s firearm.
She used it to shoot her in the head, but Officer Blaskowski survived the attack.
Kochen initially pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect but was eventually found guilty due to no-contest pleas on charges of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Resisting an Officer Causing Substantial Bodily Harm, Battery or Threat to a Judge, Prosecutor, or Law Enforcement Officer, and Disarming a Peace Officer.
