It was a close battle, but in the end, the Manitowoc County Mariners fell just short against the River City Rough Riders 18-15 Saturday afternoon.
Wide Receiver Richard Micheaux III had a game to remember, hauling in 7 catches for 138 of QB Marcos Alfaro II’s 258 yards on the day.
Alfaro went 21-30 with a pair of touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions.
Defensively, it was a family affair as defensive lineman Rashon Bullock had 10 total tackles, while his cousin Tyrell Bullock recorded 7 total tackles.
The Mariners will try to get back on the winning track Saturday as they travel to Donald J. Schneider Stadium in De Pere to take on the Brown County Blackjacks.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
