Two road construction projects are scheduled to begin today in Sheboygan.
The City’s Department of Public Works announced late last week that Broadway Avenue between South 17th and South 23rd Streets and Geele Avenue from North Taylor Drive to North 29TH Streets will both be closed beginning today.
Geele Avenue will undergo a complete concrete repair, while storm sewer, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, and new asphalt pavement will be installed on Broadway Avenue.
The westbound lane of traffic on Geele will be closed to traffic, but the eastbound lane will remain open.
The section of Broadway will be closed to through traffic, but residences and business in the area will still be accessible.
No timetable was given for the Geele Ave. project, but the Broadway project is estimated to take until August to complete.
