Landon Raygo led De Pere on the mound with a full game, 4 hit outing as the Red Birds took down Sun Prairie East 5-1 in the final game of the WIAA State Tournament.
He also struck out 7 batters while his team plated three runs in the second inning to build a 4-0 lead early.
Axel Donaldson scored 3 of De Pere’s runs and produced 3 hits and an RBI.
Mason Sequin and Trenton Kriewald would each get two hits on the day, securing a State Championship for the FRCC champions.
In the Division 2 championship, Edgewood took down Mosinee 12-6 as the Crusaders scattered 15 hits on the day.
Carson Jesberger went 3-5 with 2 RBI, while Davis Halbleib also hit home a pair on his lone hit of the day.
Steffen Mello got the win for Edgewood, hurling six and two-thirds innings, and Jack Bishop got the final out.
Also, Aquinas repeated as state champs in Division 3, taking down Kenosha St. Joseph 6-4.
Tanner Peterson got the win on the mound, striking out 7 batters in his six and two thirds innings of work, with Eddie Peters striking out the final batter for the win.
Peterson was also 3 for 3 at the plate, and Kyle White produced 2 hits and 1 RBI.
In Division 4, in their first-ever state tournament appearance, Eleva-Strum earned the title with an 11-1 win over Solon Springs/Northwood.
The Cardinals exploded for 7 runs in the first inning and tacked on 4 more in the 2nd, cruising to the fine inning win.
Alex Anderson had a day to remember, knocking in 3 RBI while Brady Zimpel had 2 RBI, and Tyler Webb allowed just 3 hits on the mound while striking out 6 batters.
