Madison’s police chief says talking to kids is the key to reducing gun violence in the city.
Chief Shon Barnes yesterday said the weekend shooting at The Lux involved teens.
No one has yet been arrested for the shooting, and no one is talking about a motive.
The chief says there has been some community outreach to young people in Madison, and it has shown some promise.
Barnes did say, however, that Madison saw a relatively peaceful first half of the year.
That ended when 10 people were grazed by bullets in Sunday’s shooting.
