
A pitcher for Kiel’s baseball team was named the 2024 EWC Player of the Year.
The Conference released its All-Conference list over the weekend, with Eyan Dessellier earning the top honor along with a unanimous selection to the 1st Team list as both a pitcher and a position player.
Ben Kienbaum and Jackson Nesse also made the first team list for the EWC champion Raiders.
Two Rivers was represented on the 1st Team listing by Justin Klinkner, who was also honored as a pitcher and position player, while Brillion’s Joe Shimek rounded out the three pitchers making the list.
Chilton’s Slayatt Nolan was the sole catcher on the list, while teammates Ryan Pierquet and Hunter Rolbiecki, and New Holstein’s Austin Kremer rounded out the first teem honorees.
Kiel also had two players honored with 2nd team and Honorable Mention status, while Roncalli had one athlete make the 2nd Team, and three honorable mentions.
Two Rivers and Valders each had one player make the 2nd team, while the Vikings also had one honorable mention.
Brillion had four 2nd team athletes, Chilton had two, and New Holstein had one and a lone honorable mention.
