The Manitowoc County Mariners pulled off an upset over the weekend, taking down the previously unbeaten Wisconsin Ravens 14-3.
The Ravens led 3-0 at the break at Winneconne High School, but the Mariners came out of halftime and controlled the ball.
Marcos Alfaro II would connect with Austin Isley for a 38-yard score and would find the endzone with his feet to give the Mariners the upset win.
Isley would end the day with 108 yards on just 8 catches, half of Alfaro’s completions on the day, and most of his 222 yards through the air.
Defensively, rookie defensive end Miguel Myers had 6 total tackles and 3 sacks, while Linebacker Carson Schemenauer recorded 7 tackles, 1 sack, a caused fumble, and a fumble recovery.
