A woman from Florida has been detained for allegedly robbing an ice cream shop in Platteville.
According to the Platteville Police Department, 45-year-old Bereta Alesandru from Spring Hill, Florida, reportedly robbed the Three Marias Ice Cream Shop at knifepoint on Thursday afternoon.
Following the incident, Platteville officers stopped a Black Ford with a Florida license plate on Highway 151, and a woman matching the robber’s description was found in the vehicle.
WISC reports that Alesandru has been arrested for robbery with threat of force.
