The Manitowoc Police Department is asking for help locating a dog who bit a pedestrian.
The victim was reported to have been walking in the 800 block of North 18th Street at around 10:15 Wednesday evening when he was approached by the canine.
The 1-year-old Pitbull mix came from the east side of the street to the west side, where the man was walking, and proceeded to sniff the victim’s hand before biting it.
The dog was described as being chocolate in color with a white or tan patch over its left eye. It is not known if the dog had a collar or any ID tags.
