
The Manitowoc Bandits opened up their Shoreland League schedule with a dominating win over the Algoma Guins 17-7.
Carter Stebane set the tone, blasting a lead off home run as a part of a 2 for 2 day at the plate while drawing three walks.
Also, Brock Peterson went 3 for 5 with two RBI, Brandom Black nocked in three runs, Reese Berg was a home run away from the cycle, and Dane Nickolai notched a pair of runs batted in.
Luke Mandich got the win on the mound, striking out six batters over his six innings of work, while Algoma’s big offensive push came from Brayden Skenandor, who hit a 3 run home run in the top of the seventh.
The Bandits next action is scheduled for next Tuesday in Kewaunee.
