The sectional round of the WIAA Girls Soccer Tournament begins today for a few area teams.
In Division 3, the top-seeded Plymouth Panthers are hosting #4 Sheboygan Falls at 4:00 this afternoon in the sectional semifinals.
Then, at 7:00 p.m., #2 Notre Dame is home for #3 Winneconne, with the winners of those matchups squaring off for a sectional championship and a trip to state Saturday at Plymouth High School.
In Division 4, #1 Kiel is hosting #4 St. Mary Catholic while #3 Xavier of Appleton is invading #2 Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian of Oshkosh.
The winners will converge on St. Mary Catholic High School Saturday for the sectional finale.
In Division 2, #4 West De Pere looks to upset the top seed, Cedarburg.
The winner will take on either #2 Nicolet or #3 Pulaski Saturday at Southwest High School Dahlin Family Stadium.
The State Tournament will be held at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee starting next Thursday.
