Work will be done on the Manitowoc County Courthouse dome, but it has nothing to do with the dome restoration project.
County Board President Tyler Martell explains that some work will be done to patch some holes and gaps in the dome area to stop leaks in the attic.
Martell calls it preventative and routine maintenance and not part of the multi-million-dollar price tag for restoration.
The plan is to have the work done within the week and will cost between $15,000 and $22,000.
Additionally, the section of South 8th St between Washington and Hancock Streets will be closed for the project starting Monday, June 10th.
A crane will be on that stretch of road for the repairs through Friday.
